Our PurposeThe survey is volunteer study aimed at gaining a better understanding of the people that work in technical roles in the South African Creative Industries, their general working conditions and education/training experiences.
Anyone who has worked in a technical role in the creative industries of South African on at least 4 projects in the past 2 years are invited to complete the survey. |
Model for this SurveyThis survey is based on the Stage Manager Survey, a study of American stage managers started in 2006 by David McGraw. In November 2017, a record-setting 1,775 stage managers participated in the sixth edition of the SM Survey. You can read reports of both the current and previous American studies.
Ronel Jordaan partnered with David J. McGraw to create a South African study of all technical fields of the performing arts sector of the Creative Industries. The final report of the South African report will appear on this website in February 2020. |
